2021 Beer Menu
There will be 17+ real ales and 3 draft ciders available across the festival venues - The Village Hall, The Selborne Arms & Gilbert White's Brewery.
Delicious traditional amber Best Bitter. Deceptively drinkable.
A strong traditional ale, uses a blend of Thomas Faucett Golden Promise Pale Ale, Crisp Pale Wheat, and Crisp Black Malts, Celeia and East Kent Goldings Hop Pellets and Lallemand Nottingham Yeast.
A traditional ale, brewed in Gilbert White's original brewhouse opened in 1765 and based on one of his original recipes. A particular characteristic of this ale is a slight but subtle smokiness both in taste and aroma.
A traditional ale brewed in the style of Sussex Bitter. Uses a blend of Crisp Extra Pale Maris Otter and Dark Crystal Malt, Flaked Maize, and Oat Husks. Progress Whole Hops and Bramling Cross, East Kent Goldings and Fuggles Hop Pellets and Whitbread Yeast.
Vegan session IPA. Bright beer, no isinglass. Idaho7 & El Dorado smashed into a traditional style IPA.
Hop fronted, with a soft malty body. This easy drinking pale ale was designed to punch well above its ABV.
This easy drinker delivers flavour without the punch. With gentle fragrances of spring blossom and stone fruit. It is fresh and light, notes of Citrus first springs to mind with a pleasing subtle fizz left on your palate, Hop content Mosaic + Amarillo.
Very pale session beer with a high percentage of oats in the grist. Cloudy, very soft and smooth mouthfeel, delicate citrus aroma from the Motueka hops.
English Fuggles impart a dry, herby bitterness which is balanced by the distinctly biscuity flavour of Crystal and Amber malts.
The famed 'Old Thumper' craft ale has a moreish maltiness & a satisfying full flavour.
English Hops through and through this crisp India Pale Ale. Pale ale using only Maris Otter barley. Dry hopped for an intense spicy hop aroma, sweet citrus fruit notes balance the bitter edge of hops, lingering and moreish.
A light straw colour with a subtle twist of citrus hop. A very refreshing beer with a perfect clean finish.
A session IPA with a wholesome and smooth malt base meshed with fresh hoppy, floral flavour
By blending different hops at various stages of the brewing process, Andwell’s have produced a beautiful beer with a citrus aroma and balanced bitterness.
A Festival special Spiced Rum Ale that started as a joke! “I will NEVER do a beer called Captain B.........!” said Malc,.. er’ this strong sweet and spicy taste of the Caribbean proves otherwise. Flavours of Cinnamon and Vanilla dominate with dark sugar notes."
A pale, golden quaffing ale with excellent flavours for its strength. Pleasingly hoppy throughout without being aggressive and also possessing of a fine aroma. The finish is dry with a small twist of sweetness at the end. If you feel that this is all rather pretentious then it can best be described as a bloody nice pint!
A hyper local traditional English Ale, the first harvest brew with fresh green Fuggles hops from Surrey, picked on the morning of brewing.
Ciders
Mr Whitehead Cirrus Minor
A light summer cider made from a varying blend of apples with a lower sugar content, including Royal Gala, Braeburn, Spartan and Lord Lambourne.

Hogs Back Hazy Hog
A full flavoured cider made traditionally by adding back the bittersweet apple juice at the end of the oak barrel fermentation, which creates the “Cidre Doux” style of Brittany/Normandy. Cloudy, gently sparkling and wonderfully “appley”.

Tickets
Tickets are required for Saturday admission to the Village Hall at any time.

Advance tickets are from £10 for a single evening - £18 for the whole weekend and can be purchased online here.
Online sales close at 4pm on 05/10/23.
Tickets will also be available on the door - Friday £12, Saturday £15.
Price covers admission to the Village Hall, 2 drinks tokens, souvenir glass, festival guide & live music.
Present e-ticket at Village Hall for entry where you will be issued with glass, guide and tokens!
Free admission for under 16s but they must be accompanied by an adult ticket holder.
