Paying homage to the music of The Red Hot Chili Peppers and Rage Against the Machine we welcome back Chili Rage as our Friday night headliner.

After their first appearance at Zig Zag Fest in 2022 was so well received we had to get them back again for the 20th anniversary.

The afternoon session in the village hall is more laid back with a selection of folk and acoustic acts performing from lunchtime onwards.

  • 12:30pm : EMBIIAST
    Elderly Men Behind Instruments In A Small Town.

  • 1:15pm : The Newtrons
    Pip Lucas is the only remaining member of The Newtrons but he has the distinction of being the only person to have performed at every Zig Zag Fest since the first one in 2005!

  • 2:00pm : Tray of Flans
    Tray of Flans is a three piece band covering contemporary folk and adding an unusual folky twist to other pop, rock and disco classics.

  • 2:45pm : Amy Lucas
    Lovely Amy has been wowing us for a few years now with her beautiful voice and delicate guitar picking.

  • 3:40pm : Retrophonic Pete
    Pete is an amazing one man band! If we're lucky he'll be doing his pop-master challenge again. He'll play a tune and the audience needs to guess the artist, title track and year of release. Prizes for the highest score!

    Resurrectionists are an acoustic Folk-Punk/Indie Duo from Hampshire who play songs ranging between drowning, depressive episodes, oppression of creatives, true historic murder ballads, and other joyful themes...!

  • 5:10pm : Fate of the Magpie
    From a dark swirl of poetry, guitars and whistles came the music & lyrics that are Fate of the Magpie.

  • 5:55pm : Call Me Ishmael
    Call Me Ishmael are an Alton-based progressive folk group. Comprising Pete Whitburn: Guitar and Vocals, Phil Archer: Guitar and Vocals: Brian Hurrell: Bass & Chris Bryan on Whistles, Recorders and Wind Synth. Check out their excellent album - Cosmic Travellers - on Bandcamp:
